Reviews
Disappointed. The wings were overcooked, dry, and swimming in grease. They are ELEVEN DOLLARS PER POUND. That equals 6 to 7 wing segments.
The dark parts of the wings were pieces that werent even edible, like hard cardboard. Celery and ranch is NOT included. Also got the curly fries. For some reason they had no salt, and def weren’t curly, lol. I have been on a quest for good wings in the area. This is now on top of the list for worst 😪
Decades of tradition are still available at Frank's. They still have wings that are buffalo New York style classic. I'll always consider Frank's as one of my "go to" places.
May23 update - Just as awesome as always
Man I freaking love this place but it always gets pricier every time I'm back. Hot wings and teriyaki wings are a must if you're here. The classic curly fries are some of my favorites of all time. I prefer these over those seasoned curly fries. Oh Frank's, please never change.
Friendly neighborhood joint with a classic Chicago style menu. The hotdog was a miss, but my friend's polish sausage looked great and he really enjoyed it.
The wings were ok. Some were fried crispy others not. Both the med and hot sauces, seemed to have too much vinegar for my liking.
Would def come back to try other food.
When you think wings, this is the ONLY place to go!! Best wings in the area, have tried them all over the past 13yrs. Seasoned (waffle) fries are wayy better than the regular in my opinion!! Brownies are a MUST, honestly one of the best I've ever had. Green River for the drink if you're a fan!
(Disclaimer, I brought this home. They ONLY have celery no carrots)
oh hell yeah. finally good to find a true Buffalo wing joint. wings were meaty. skin was crispy. x-hot sauce was just hot enough (like a Duff's medium-ish-hot). fries were meh, but it's a wing house not a spud hut. not cheap either but there's still good value here getting a good solid Buffalo (not "buffalo-style") wing!
GREAT service, very friendly employees.
Excellent char on the hotdog.
Very saucy wings - take extra napkins. Then take twice as many :)
Nice outdoor seating.
I’ve been coming here for 10years. I absolutely love Franks for the memories! It’s an hour from Downtown Chicago.. but worth the drive to enjoy some authentic Buffalo hot wings.
Now the prices have gone up…Covid. $11 for 6-7 wings/1pound. (I remember the days of being able to choose drums or flats..only a memory now) However, I was not disappointed. $52 bucks not including tip.
